Privacy & Cookie Policy

If you visit we will process some of your personal data. For example, this occurs if you enter your data when submitting a form on the website. We do not retain your data for longer than necessary. We do not provide your personal data to anyone outside of Erasmus RDO without your consent. More information on how your personal data is processed during a visit to our website can be found in our Cookie Policy below.

Erasmus (RDO) has accounts (profiles) on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram. Do you follow one of our social media accounts? If so, then we only have access to your public profile data. We only process personal data if you share it with us yourself via our social media accounts. As a social media user, you have the right to access the personal data that we process about you.

Cookies are very small files that are temporarily stored by your browser on the hard disk of your computer, tablet, phone, or any other device you use to visit our website. They contain information that enables you to be recognized the next time you visit our website. Cookies are used by and by all sub sites that operate on the same server. This is done by Erasmusrdo or by partners who facilitate sections of the site.

What cookies are used and why?

  • Erasmusrdo uses functional cookies, which are technically necessary in order to remember your functional preferences, like use of language and font size. For these, your permission is not required. You cannot disable functional cookies.
  • Cookies that provide information on the quality and effectiveness of the website are used to increase ease of use. These can be analytic cookies, A/B testing or affiliate cookies. For this type of cookies, no IP related information is used, so your permission is not required. You can, however, disable these cookies via your browser settings.
  • We use Google Analytics cookies in order to gather and analyse data regarding the visits made to our website. For example, the number of users, people’s click behaviour, the time of their visit and their visitor frequency are stored. We use these data to improve, and to adapt it to user preferences. Erasmusrdo and Google Analytics have made arrangements to keep the infringement of privacy to a minimum. It was agreed, among other things, that no complete IP addresses can be passed on. Your separate permission for using these analytical cookies is not required, given their purpose and the arrangements made. You can, however, disable these cookies via your browser settings.
  • Erasmusrdo uses YouTube for embedding videos in the website. YouTube employs her own terms and conditions regarding placing and reading out cookies – you can find more information about these on their website. YouTube uses tracking cookies in order to improve service and to provide you with personalized content, such as the most relevant search results. If you agree to the use of cookies, you are able to watch the videos on the Erasmusrdo website. If you do not agree, YouTube does not place any cookies. In this case, when you click on a video on the Erasmusrdo website, it will be opened in a new window, on the YouTube website.

Personal data protection

Erasmusrdo complies to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (in Dutch: Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming) and treats any data obtained by the use of cookies confidential. Cookies do not contain personal data, so Erasmusrdo cannot use them to personally identify you. The data are not used for any purposes other than supporting the functioning of the website and adjusting it to visitors as good as possible. The data are not made available to third parties.
