Generation R Next

Project summary

The Generation R study started in 2001. Children are followed in the study from pregnancy to adulthood. By collecting different data about factors that can be influenced, such as social background and lifestyle, the researchers want to know why one child develops optimally and the other does not or less. This study also provides insights into the development of diseases and behavioral problems.

Impact

The purpose of the follow-up research (Generation R Next) is to gain new knowledge now that the participants have turned 18. With their research, Generation R Next will make an important contribution to knowledge about the care and health surrounding pregnancy.
