How does the memory in the T cells of our immune system derail?

Project summary

T cells use their memory to quickly destroy bacteria and viruses, as well as tumor cells. In diseases such as asthma and cancer, these memory cells no longer function properly. The researchers will use a molecular magnifying glass to look for the cause of this derailed memory in order to find new leads for therapies.
