The role of APOBEC3B in breast cancer therapy resistance

Project summary

This project is a collaboration with Reuben Harris (University of Minnesota, Minneapolis) and Paul Span (Radiotherapy, Radboud University Nijmegen MC). The antivirale enzyme APOBEC3B is responsible for certain mutations in breast tumors which cause them to become resistent to radio-, chemo- or hormonal therapy more quickly. The researchers will explore if this process can be prevented.
